Greenhouse fire on allotment sparks major 999 response in Bristol

A greenhouse on fire within an allotment sparked a major 999 response in Bristol tonight (Tuesday, October 28).

The incident, near Wick Road in Brislington , was reported to Avon Fire and Rescue at 7.38pm.

The fire service said it started in a greenhouse.

Crews from Temple and Hicks Gate attended the incident and extinguished the fire.

It is thought the cause was accidental. View 3 Images

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue said: "We were called at 7:38pm to a greenhouse on fire in an allotment near Wick Road, Brislington.

"Firefighters from Temple and Hicks Gate extinguished the fire.
