Fans of Great British Bake Off have slammed one of its recent challenges as a complete "car crash" following a disastrous round where all the contestants struggled.

Tuesday evening's episode of the Channel 4 programme (October 28) saw semi-finalists Aaron, Jasmine, Toby and Tom attempting Patisserie Week. Whilst they sailed through the Signature challenge, delivering respectable pastries across the board, the Technical round descended into chaos, with all four bakers failing to produce the dessert requested by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith .
