LONG ISLAND (PIX11) — Commuters experienced severe delays during the ride home from New York City on Tuesday.
A person was struck by a train near Kings Park Tuesday night, according to the MTA.
The 4:22 p.m. train from Hunterspoint Avenue to Port Jefferson is currently being held west of Kings Park. The 4:51 p.m. train from Penn Station to Port Jefferson is canceled at Huntington and the 4:58 train from Long Island City to Port Jefferson will go to Northport and be held at the station.
The MTA said severe delays are expected throughout the evening commute.
