PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Peoria Police arrested two men who they found after being shot in a home that was broken into.

According to police, Percy E Cook III and Eugene Qualls were shot in their legs. They were taken to the hospital, and they’re expected to recover.

The two were found inside Cook’s home on West Covington Court on Saturday. When police arrived, they saw the front door had been kicked in.

After getting a warrant, police later searched the home. A large amount of marijuana, scales, packaging materials, and cash were found.

Peoria Police later learned Qualls was wanted for domestic battery. Cook was arrested for possession with intent to deliver.

As for the break-in, police are still investigating.
