Randy Farrell, an electrical inspector facing federal charges , has sued the New Orleans and Jefferson Parish municipal governments for revoking or suspending his inspection licenses without due process.
In a federal lawsuit filed Oct. 27, Farrell and his company, IECI & Associates, claimed the two parishes' disciplinary actions against him and his company have cost him “millions of dollars.” He claims he wasn’t given a chance to appeal, and that local officials are violating his constitutional rights.
Farrell was indicted in September 2024 on more than two dozen charges of wire fraud, conspiracy and other charges. The charges are related to allegations that Farrell took bribes from unlicensed electricians to obtain fraudulent permits for them and sign off on their work. He is also acc
