LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The Norton Health Sports and Learning Complex will become the center of Louisville's culinary scene Sunday when the venue hosts the Louisville Black Chef Showcase .
The event runs from 3 to 6 p.m. and will feature more than 30 chefs of color, all putting their best work forward.
This year marks the third for the event, founded by the executive chef at Hotel Bourre Bonne, Henry Wesley, who views this as an opportunity to share his platform with others.
"Sometimes people who look like me are less prevalent," Wesley said. "I feel like to uplift the community and to bring some people along with me, it's important to expose the fact that a lot of your favorite culinarians may be people of color."
