The Toronto Maple Leafs will have William Nylander back in the fold as they take on the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night.
After missing Saturday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres with a lower-body injury, the first regular-season game he had missed since April 4, 2022, Nylander was a game-time decision heading into Tuesday’s contest. In his first eight games of the season, Nylander recorded three goals and 11 assists.
Nylander originally suffered the initial injury on Friday. He exited with 5:51 remaining in the third period of the first half of the home-and-home against the Sabres and did not return for another shift.
