LOS ANGELES — Game 4 of the World Series is all about how two spent teams can bounce back after playing 18 innings in Game 3. The Dodgers are running back the same starting nine for an eighth straight game, including catcher Will Smith.
Smith caught all 18 innings of Game 3, four more innings than any other catcher in World Series history, and his eight plate appearances were the most by any catcher in a World Series game. He’s back in there batting cleanup in Game 4 as well.
