One fan called the cult classic "a gritty, hard slice of genre cinema at it's most lean, brutal and unpretentious".

A gritty thriller is hailed by fans as a "masterpiece" and is streaming free in the UK. Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) is set in Los Angeles, California , and follows police officer Lieutenant Ethan Bishop (played by Austin Stoker ) as he seeks to protect a police station from a blood-thirsty gang called Street Thunder.

The precinct is being decomissioned, leaving them largely cut off from the outside world amid the attack, and the small crew of prisoners and law enforcement staff are forced to dig in to try and hold off the vicious killers.
