CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The woman who police charged in a deadly police chase that ended in North Charleston is officially representing herself after firing her latest attorney.
Margie Brown appeared in a downtown Charleston County courtroom on Tuesday afternoon, with 14 motions made by herself on the docket.
Brown is accused of leading North Charleston Police Department officers on an April 27 police chase in a U-Haul truck that ended in a deadly crash in downtown Charleston, killing two and injuring five .
Brown is charged with reckless homicide, two counts of hit and run and two counts of failure to stop for blue lights.
