LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The man accused of killing 43-year-old Tracy Henman was seen in court for the first time Tuesday.
Joshua Meyers, 40, was officially charged with first-degree murder. A judge also ordered Meyers to be held without bond.
Court documents provided more of a timeline leading up to the discovery of Henman’s body.
On Thursday, officers with the Lincoln Police Department were sent to a home near 56th and Holdrege streets for a welfare check.
Members of Henman’s family asked police to check on her because she hadn’t called or shown up to work for two days, court documents say.
Officers found Henman inside the home, and she was “clearly deceased with traumatic and fatal injuries,” according to an affidavit.
Henman and Meyers were both found in the home’s basement.
