GREENVILLE — Voters in Greenville will decide next week whether to approve a $1 million bond to help fund a new community recreation center.
The proposal, known as the “YES Project,” stands for Youth, Education and Sports.
“The referendum vote is for a project we have in town. It’s called a YES Project. It is? Yes. Yes. Why, yes it is. It’s an acronym for Youth, Education and Sports,” said Greenville Town Manager Mike Roy.
On the Nov. 4 ballot, voters will be asked: “Do you favor authorizing the Town of Greenville Select Board to investigate the possibility of applying for a municipal bond from the Maine Municipal Bond Bank for additional funding necessary to complete the YES building in an amount not to exceed $1 million?”
If passed, the new facility would be built on Pritham Avenue
