A Kent suspect involved in a fatal Seattle shooting was accidentally released from jail in Northern California last week.
Isaiah Jamon Andrews, 20, was released by the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) on Oct. 22 from the Martinez Detention Facility, CCSO announced .
Andrews was being held on a juvenile warrant from Sacramento and an out-of-state arrest warrant for a homicide.
After CCSO noticed Andrews had been released, search efforts were conducted in the surrounding area. Officials concluded Andrews was no longer in the area.
The search for Andrews is ongoing, led by the U.S. Marshals Service. Local law enforcement agencies have also been notified of Andrews’ accidental release.
