OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) -- Oconee County Council voted to terminate County Administrator Amanda Brock Tuesday, over the council's "loss of trust" in the public official.
During a special county council meeting, council members voted unanimously to fire Brock.
According to Council Chairman Matthew Durham, Brock did not inform the council of a trip she took via private jet owned by United Homes Group on January 18, 2024.
UHG is a company that specializes in residential construction.
Durham said Brock "failed to disclose key information" about her trip to tour a campus facility at Purdue University that United Homes Group helped construct.
The developer was hoping to build a similar structure on Clemson University's campus, council added.
