A man will face court after burnout offences were reported in a Riverina town over the weekend.
According to NSW Police, on Friday evening (25 October) and the early hours of Saturday (26 October), the Cootamundra CBD was subject to a number of aggravated burnout offences.
A burnout is when a driver deliberately drives a vehicle to cause a continuous loss of traction. For example, a driver who over-accelerates may cause the wheels to spin, which means the tyres lose grip on the road, staining the bitumen.
One offence occurred at the intersection of Cooper and Bourke Streets.
