PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) - NFL Network's Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Pittsburgh Steelers are acquiring safety Kyle Dugger and a seventh-round draft choice in a trade with the New England Patriots.

In exchange, New England receives a sixth-round draft pick.

In six seasons with the Patriots, Dugger has appeared in 81 games with 69 starts.

He has piled up nine career interceptions.

Prior to the 2024 season, Dugger signed a 4-year, 58 million contract with the Patriots.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Steelers are placing safety Deshone Elliot on injured-reserve with a knee injury.

The Steelers host the Colts on Sunday at 1 p.m. on WKBN-27.
