As Hurricane Melissa barrels through Jamaica, many are sheltering in place and fearing for the worst, and those fears are felt by an upstate man with family on the island.

Ken Bahford is watching videos from his family as the storm rolls through Jamaica. He says those family members are in St. Catherine, west of Kingston, and on the eastern side of the storm.

"Every hour I keep calling and stuff like that, checking up and, and some of them is alright, some of them is really frightened right now," he tells us, "people are evacuating from their home. People in like lower area, they're moving to the high-end area right now and stuff.
