WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — A generous donation is helping athletes of all abilities experience the joy of cycling.

The West Herr Automotive Group and the Scott Bieler Family Foundation joined forces with Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports (GBAS) to present ten brand-new handcycles to local athletes on Tuesday afternoon.

The presentation took place at West Herr Chevrolet in Williamsville, where community members gathered to celebrate the growing opportunities for adaptive athletes across Western New York.

Handcycles are powered by the rider’s arms rather than their legs, allowing people with a range of physical, developmental, and intellectual disabilities to participate in cycling.
