ATLANTA — For Yolanda White, Women's Small Business Month is personal. She's the founder of Dayo Women , a clothing brand that sells luxury lounge wear that you can wear at home, in the office, or for a night out. It's an idea White built from the ground up.
"I know firsthand what it takes to build a business from scratch," White said. "When you talk about challenges, there are so many — keeping up with the economy, addressing the changing landscape of business, and serving customers in the highest way every single day."
White says building her company came with many challenges, including securing capital.
"Dayo is self-funded," she explained. "Only like 2% of venture funding is going to women-owned businesses." Her passion and perseverance led to growth and creative partnerships. "
