Year 12 students at eight Queensland high schools, including one of Brisbane’s most prestigious, found out they were taught the wrong ancient history subject just days before their crucial final exam.
The students were supposed to learn about Julius Caesar but were instead taught a topic on Augustus Caesar, with the error being identified by teachers two days before Wednesday’s final exam which goes towards their ATAR scores.
The Department of Education has been contacted for comment, but a spokesman told the Courier Mail they were deeply sorry for the mistake and were supporting students and families during this time.
