It took a Coos County jury less than three hours Tuesday to find a Berlin man guilty of fatally shooting the mother of their two young daughters almost two years ago.
The jury got the case of State v. Dustin Duren from Judge Johnathan Frizzell at 12:15 p.m. and came back at around 3 to inform the court clerk that it had reached verdicts on the four charges leveled against Duren: two charges of second-degree murder for knowingly and recklessly causing the death of Caitlyn Naffziger, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for Dec. 11.
