RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Another defendant has pleaded guilty to gross misdemeanor charges in the Reno High Vandalism case.
Aral Unlu entered his guilty plea Tuesday morning October 28, 2025. He faced one count of “damage of property used for educational purposes.” It’s a gross misdemeanor.
The plea stems from his role in the May 22, 2025, vandalism case at Reno High School.
Unlu admitted to investigators he doused tires with alcohol in the hallway of the school and set fire to them according to grand jury transcripts.
“Did you sign the guilty plea memorandum your counsel provided the court?” asked Judge Barry Breslow
“Yes, your honor,” replied Unlu.
Unlu’s plea is a result of a deal with Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.
Under the agreement he must be on probation for one year.
