COVINGTON, Va. (WDBJ) - A person was arrested after an online school threat was made Tuesday, October 28, according to Alleghany Highlands Public School officials.

The administration at Covington Middle School was made aware of a threatening comment on social media, according to officials.

After an investigation conducted by the Covington Division of Police, an individual is now in custody, according to officials. Officials say students and staff were safe, and there was no immediate threat to school safety.
