Thousands of heavily armed police officers launched an operation against the Red Command, one of Brazil’s most powerful criminal organizations. Police seized 42 high-caliber rifles and arrested 81 people. The operation deployed nearly 2,500 officers, around 30 armored vehicles, two helicopters, several reconnaissance and attack drones, and 10 demolition vehicles.
