Senate Democrats Block Government Funding Bill in 13th Vote

Senate Democrats on Tuesday blocked the House-passed government funding bill in the chamber's 13th vote on the measure, ensuring the government shutdown continues.

The bill would fund the government through Nov. 21 if passed with 60 votes. The measure failed by a 54-45 vote, The Hill news outlet reported. The government shutdown has reached its 28th day.
