QUINCY, Mass. —
Quincy police are investigating two reports of thieves stealing jewelry from unsuspecting victims within the last 24 hours.
According to investigators, the victims were approached by the suspects and were "forcefully robbed of their personal jewelry" following a brief conversation.
Police said the suspects fled in a dark colored SUV or sedan and that both incidents occurred in the city's North Quincy neighborhood.
It's unclear if the victims were injured in the robbery.
A description of the suspects was not immediately available.
Authorities are encouraging residents not to engage with strangers, maintain a safe personal space and to secure your valuables while walking about.
Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Quincy police.
