MYRTLE BEACH (WBTW) - Not one, but two Horry County boys volleyball programs will play for state championships this weekend. The Carolina Forest guys took care of Summerville on Tuesday night, 3-1. The Socastee Braves went the distance with Lucy Beckham and won it 3-2, moving onto the finals for the first time in program history.
Carolina Forest will compete for a SCHSL Class 5A-D1 state championship on Saturday against Boiling Springs or Dorman.
Socastee will compete for a SCHSL Class 5A-D2 state championship on Saturday against either Catawba Ridge or Eastside.
