The fruit platter, you’ll be happy to know, is back.
After the Jays brought out watermelon and pineapple in the late innings of last night’s game, providing essential (if futile) sustenance in the longest game by time in franchise history, the platter has returned to the dugout for tonight’s game.
Thanks to good detective work by Star photographer Steve Russell, who is on the ground in L.A., the Star can report that tonight’s fruit platter includes watermelon, pineapple and now, for the first time, red grapes. If you squint, it sort of looks like the Canadian flag.
Schneider joked the platter last night came from Uber Eats, but ultimately credited the team’s nutritionist, Yuka.
