Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) skewered Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene during a CNN interview on Tuesday over her criticisms of how Republicans have handled the government shutdown.

Earlier in the day, Greene called out Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) for refusing to share details of the Republican Party's health care plan, according to reporting from The Hill.

"I demanded to know from Speaker Johnson what the Republican plan for healthcare is to build the off-ramp off Obamacare and the ACA tax credits to make health insurance affordable for Americans,” Greene told The Hill. “Johnson said he’s got ideas and pages of policy ideas and committees of jurisdiction are working on it, but he refused to give one policy proposal to our GOP conference on our own conference call."

Moreno responded to Greene's comments during an interview with CNN's Kaitlan Collins on "The Source."

"I would say to Marjorie Taylor Greene, I like her. She came out to Ohio a few times. She's certainly able to write a bill herself," Moreno said. "If this is something she's passionate about, put pen to paper, write a bill, present an option. Don't just criticize what other people are doing in terms of how Republicans think the marketplace should work."

"Obamacare has proven that it's a total abject failure at keeping costs affordable," he added. "So what the Democrats want to do is just throw more taxpayer money away. They want to have more giveaways to insurance companies. They want to cover criminal aliens, which is totally insane."

"What we need to do is lower the cost of health care," he continued. "That's not a 24-hour question. We need to reopen the government."
