The government shutdown is now in its 28th day as federal workers are experiencing payless paydays and key social services dry up.

Is either side in Washington showing signs of cracking? Congressman Bill Huizenga tells us this is about the time that should happen as the real-world effects of a continuing shutdown are being felt.

“ By November 1, SNAP and WIC, those are the two food assistance programs that go to some of the most vulnerable folks in society,” Huizenga said. “ They’re not going to be able to be funded.”
