FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — New information reveals that police responded to four noise complaints at the Farmington home of Karla Garcia between September 2024 and February 2025, around the same time as her 11-year-old daughter, Jacqueline "Mimi" Torres-Garcia's, death.
Garcia did not report Torres-Garcia missing during any of the times she interacted with police, according to the arrest warrant, which also says Garcia believes Torres-Garcia was deceased and in the basement when officers were at the house in December.
Garcia admitted her daughter died sometime in her bed, but she wasn’t sure when exactly. Nanita had found her not breathing, then moved her body to the basement, according to the arrest warrant.
Officers only interacted with the family on one occasion out of the four compl
