Two Ohio residents died in crashes Tuesday in Defiance County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

A two-vehicle crash was reported about 11:20 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Ohio 249 in Washington Township.

Cierra Jaquillard, 26, of Toledo was driving a Buick Redezvous east on Ohio 249 when she didn't stop at a posted stop sign, a news release said. A motorhome driven by Jay Shaffer, 61, of Archbold struck the SUV. It was traveling north on U.S. 127.

Both vehicles left the roadway, and the SUV overturned. The SUV had a 3-year-old passenger in a front-facing car seat, the news release said.

Shaffer, the driver of the motorhome, was partially ejected from the vehicle and was taken to Defiance Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seat belt, the
