For 11 seasons, the cast of Modern Family gave us laughs and delivered one of the best sitcoms of all time.

Not only did the series win Emmys, its stars cashed in, building property portfolios that would impress the show’s resident real estate agent Phil Dunphy.

By the final season, the adult cast members — Sofia Vergara, Ed O’Neill, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Eric Stonestreet — were each earning an eye-watering $US500,000 ($A767,000) per episode.

The younger cast members, including Rico Rodriguez, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, and Sarah Hyland, also saw their pay rise significantly, earning over $125,000 ($A191,000) per episode in the later seasons.
