CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Cleveland will be without its leading 3-point shooter on Wednesday night in Boston.

Sam Merrill is out for Wednesday’s game against the Celtics with a right hip contusion.

Merrill exited Monday’s game against the Pistons early after a collision with Evan Mobley.

Head coach Kenny Atkinson said after Sunday’s win against Milwaukee that Merrill has been the team’s best player through the Cavaliers’ first three games.

Merrill is leading the team with an average of 4.5 3-point field goals made. He’s shooting 51.7 percent from deep and 51.5 percent from the field.
