LEXINGTON, Ky. —
No. 2 St. X advanced to the KHSAA state championship for the second time in three years, shutting out No. 8 Bryan Station 3-0 in the semifinals.
The Tigers are seeking to win the program’s 17th state title.
The win also improved coach Andy Schulten to 15-0 in state semifinals.
Jonah Gates, Brady Youssefizad, and Max Fahey scored for St. X.
The Tigers will face No. 14 Covington Catholic at 4 p.m. Saturday at Lexington SC Stadium.
