LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - The Lynchburg community is standing together, not just in remembrance, but in strength, and hope.
Families, survivors, and advocates gathered to honor the lives lost to domestic violence and to remind others still suffering that they are not alone.
They were mothers, daughters, and friends. All lives lost to domestic violence here in Lynchburg.
This vigil, held at the Lynchburg Police Department’s Honor Garden, is more than remembrance. It’s a reminder that no one has to face abuse alone.
“It’s such a persistent issue. It’s easy to put it aside or not think about it or maybe feel like it’s overwhelming and nothing can be done, but I’m here to tell you, as you see this group full of people, that there are many resources out there for you,” said Bethany Harrison,
