Since morning after Cyclone Montha’s landfall in AP, a very heavy rainfall has started to begin up across South and Central Telangana, indicating that the next few hours of the day will be extremely crucial. As per latest reports, core rain bands are strengthening from Guntur, Amaravati, Macherla, and Nandigama, moving rapidly towards Khammam, Mahabubabad, and Suryapet districts.

These core rain bands from the eye of the cyclone are known for producing intense, nonstop downpours that can quickly raise rainfall totals within a short time resulting in record rainfall levels. According to weather reports, these bands are now expanding and are expected to cover Bhadradri–Kothagudem, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Jangaon, and Yadadri–Bhongir within the next three hours.
