L.A. County officials approved an $828-million sex abuse settlement on Tuesday, months after agreeing to another payout that was the largest in U.S. history.

The latest payout comes on the heels of a Times investigation that found nine clients of Downtown LA Law Group who said they were paid by recruiters to sue the county for sex abuse. The county’s top lawyer said Tuesday she’s requiring the firm to identify every recruiter it used.

DTLA has said the firm has no knowledge of any clients who were paid to sue and seeks “justice for real victims” of sexual abuse.
