Sewage leak at Anacostia High School in DC forces continued closure

Anacostia High School has been closed since Monday at noon because of the sewage backup. DC Water reported a pump malfunctioned Sunday morning during work on the Anacostia Main Interceptor, impacting the school's basement and elevator shafts, as well as 10 homes on the 1600 block of Fairlawn Ave, Southeast.
