A rivalry match wrapped within an oddly-timed nonconference date couldn’t derail the best start in program history for the Colorado volleyball team.

The Buffaloes traveled to Greeley and held off an upset bid from Northern Colorado, defeating the Bears in a five-set decision 22-25, 28-26, 25-15, 21-25, 15-8 at Bank of Colorado Arena.
