MURRAY – The sinkhole that opened over the weekend on the grounds of a Murray taco restaurant off KY 121 North is the most recent one to surface in that area of town, but an engineer who oversaw a recent multimillion-dollar drainage project nearby said it likely won’t be the last.

The Murray Police Department said officers responded around 6 a.m. Saturday to a report of a sinkhole opening in the Cinco Hermanos Taco Shop parking lot off KY 121 North, located between Alex's Pharmacy and Murray Auto Spa. Police said there were no injuries to the occupants of the truck, and the hole did not affect any roads or utility lines.

The owner of the restaurant, Juanito Longoria, said he plans to make repairs to the hole once a police report on the incident has been finalized.
