The Tusayan Drainage Master Plan took another step forward recently as the Coconino County Board of Supervisors heard an update from the Flood Control District and the project’s engineering team.
With the preferred flood mitigation measures selected, on both the surrounding watershed on U.S. Forest Service land and within the Town of Tusayan, the master plan can now shift into determining the feasibility of the measures through geotechnical testing of the soil and bedrock, according to Flood Control District administrator Lucinda Andreani.
