QUINNESEC — Breitung Township will acquire three new radar speed signs to calm traffic near parks in Quinnesec and East Kingsford.
Two of the signs will replace flashing units due for replacement on Lincoln Avenue where eastbound and westbound traffic approaches Quinnesec Park. A third sign will be placed in the area of East Kingsford Park.
The EVOLIS solar-powered signs and mounting kits will be purchased through New York-based ElanCity at an anticipated total cost of $10,349.
Superintendent Steve Mulka recommended getting two new signs for Lincoln Avenue, but the township board decided Monday to order one for East Kingsford as well.
