A mother has joined forces with other grieving families to campaign for life-saving change to Government policy after the death of her much-loved daughter from methanol poisoning.

Kirsty McKie, 38 and from Bramhall , Stockport , died in Bali in 2022 after unknowingly drinking contaminated alcohol.

Now her mother Margaret McKie, 66, has joined a campaign involving other bereaved families calling for the Foreign Office to change its official guidance to travellers visiting certain countries, including Indonesia. Collectively, they want the Government to recommend that travellers should avoid drinking all spirits in the countries.
