US president Donald Trump was ripped on Monday for boasting about passing a dementia test as he attempted to belittle potential Democratic presidential hopefuls.

Speaking to reporters on board Air Force 1 as he traveled to Japan, the president, 79, bizarrely bragged about how he could beat Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Democrat, New York) and Jasmine Crockett (Democrat, Texas) as he appeared to reference acing the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA).

Ocasio-Cortez is 36, and Crockett is 44.

The brief assessment screens for signs of cognitive decline in the elderly and stroke patients, and sets simple tasks such as drawing a clock, identifying animals and repeating a string of words back.
