In the aftermath of Cyclone Montha’s landfall, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the cancellation of two major passenger trains operating between Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Telangana due to the non-availability of rakes and ongoing disruptions across the coastal network.
According to an official notice issued by ECoR, Train No. 22204 Secunderabad–Visakhapatnam, scheduled to originate from Secunderabad on October 29, 2025, and Train No. 12703 Howrah–Secunderabad, scheduled to depart from Howrah on October 30, 2025, have been cancelled.
Railway officials cited “non-availability of rakes” following severe weather-induced disruption as the reason for cancellation and urged passengers to take note of the changes before planning their journey.
