Golfers usually head to the course expecting a quiet day of sport and relaxation, not unexpected rescues. That was the case at Fire Wheel Golf Course in Garland, Texas, until a few players noticed something unusual moving in the nearby creek.

Their game came to a halt as they walked closer to investigate.

It didn’t take long to realize that a dog was stranded on the edge of Rowlett Creek, unable or unwilling to move. Unsure how to help safely, the golfers quickly decided to call for assistance.

Working Together To Save A Life

Garland Animal Services (GAS) soon arrived at the scene, joined by firefighters from the Garland Fire Department (GFD).
