GRAND LEDGE – The Grand Ledge volleyball team had the opportunity on Tuesday night to secure at least a share of the CAAC Blue regular season title, doing so while celebrating four seniors who have helped build the foundation for successful volleyball under sixth-year coach Matt Cox.
Standing in the way was East Lansing, who was riding a five-game league winning streak, having last dropped a conference match against the Comets at the end of September.
After winning the first set 25-16 , the Comets looked even more convincing with a 25-15 second set win. Grand Ledge saved it's most dominant performance in the third and final set, ousting East Lansing 25-12 to earn a share of the CAAC Blue for the first time since 2011.
