The University Interscholastic League will not announce what districts schools will participate in for the next two years for more than three months, but the first step toward that reveal will happen Oct. 31.
That is the date the UIL requires its member schools to take a snapshot of their campus enrollments and send them in for biennial realignment purposes. It has been dubbed "Snapshot Day" and the numbers that are compiled will determine what classification and — for Class A through Class 5A in football — what division schools will participate in.
