UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio --
Personal welfare: Lansdale Road
At 4:25 p.m. Oct. 6, police were dispatched to a home in the 3900 block of Lansdale Road to assist First CALL crisis assistance with a welfare check.
Police officers, along with First CALL personnel, spoke on the scene with a male that had alleged suicidal/homicidal ideations. The male appeared to check out fine while officers were at the home.
A firearm the man possessed was voluntarily surrendered to the UHPD for safekeeping.

At 8:55 p.m. Oct. 7, police and firefighters responded to the 2200 block of Cranston Road on a report of an overdose.
